Visit the Oysterman for fresh seafood, game to take away or eat in – just up the hill from Talisker Distillery

Orbost Farm
Orbost Farm usually has a selection of local game, meats, sausages, burgers available. They don’t have a shop but give them a call or message and see what’s available

Isle of Skye Baking Co – Portree
The Isle of Skye Baking Company bakes 12 flavours of shortbread and 8 of oatcakes, as well as gingerbread, biscotti, fruitcake, tablet, artisan breads and a range of jams and chutneys. They also do lunch beside their wood burner and have a beautiful gallery shop upstairs

Scorrybreac restaurant is set in a beautiful location, above the harbour in Portree, Isle of Skye. Chef Calum Munro aims to seek the finest local, seasonal produce, delivering modern Scottish cuisine, with French influences. Highly Recommended

Cafe Sia – Broadford
Café Sia is situated near the foot of the Red Cuillin Hills in Broadford offering local meat and seafood and delicious wood-fired dishes including pizzas. The also serve first class coffee, roasted on the premises.

Honesty boxes along the roadside
Lots of crofts in Skye sell their fresh eggs, preserves and home baking in little boxes by the roadside.  Keep an eye out for them as you drive around the island.  Just pop the money into the honesty box and enjoy.

Shopping and Arts and Crafts

Just along the road and a 5 Star attraction – take your credit card as very few folks leave without making a purchase.  They also have a Yurt Tearoom to enjoy during the summer

Lynne’s Art Shed
Just along the road, you can visit Lynne’s Art Shed where she displays and sells her paintings and cards of the stunning sea views from Waternish to the Hebrides.

Dandelion Designs and Gallery
Situated in Stein with a collection of unique handmade arts and crafts from Skye

Cuckoo Tree Studio
Artist and designer Denise Huddleston creates stunning art, textiles, and jewellery at cuckoo tree studio 

The Skye Shilasdair Shop
The shop specialise in yarns which, having been naturally dyed by Shilasdair, the Skye Yarn Company, reflect the colours of Skye. Garments and accessories for sale.

Skye Weavers – Glendale
A small weaving and sewing business in Glendale. On their bicycle pedal-powered loom they weave a variety of woollen products including scarves, blankets, throws and wraps. They also make tweed, which they sell as lengths an make into garments, cushion covers, bags and accessories

Skye Silver
Located near to Neist Point Skye Silver have been designing and making jewellery for over 40 years.
