July 2018 – We can absolutely recommend this house and will definately come back!
We spent a very relaxing and relaxing week in the beautifully situated cottage, the location is great – very quiet and idyllic, overlooking the sea and the offshore islands. The apartment is very tastefully, comfortably and lovingly furnished, it really lacks nothing. As a welcome gesture, a welcome basket with culinary specialities from Skye was on the table.
The cottage is located on the Waternish Peninsula and we have made excursions and walks to Neist Point, Coral Beach, Trotternish Peninsula, Dunvegan and Waternish Point. Our highlight was the hike to Waternish Point, because from there we could see sea otters, gannets and seals.
We can absolutely recommend the house and will definitely come back.

July 2018 – What a fabulous time staying here…
We had a fabulous time staying here. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. A great base to explore Skye and the cottage offered all the information required on how to find the places we wanted to visit. The spectacular views and scenery were visible from just sitting on the sofa. The local honesty boxes in the area meant we could sample fresh local produce such as eggs and marmalade which just added to the country feel. Would highly recommend this accommodation if you want to escape hectic city life for a few days!
June 2018 – You’ve got it spot on!
We really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful cottage, amazing scenery, fantastic island! Thank you for all your help and advice whenever needed. You’ve given the place a personal touch with everything visitors could need to make their stay an enjoyable one, but you’ve gone above and beyond that and attention to detail with all the added little touches made us feel welcome in your home!! You’ve got it spot on! A beautiful, spacious cottage. Clean and homely with all the amenities you could need. Fantastic sea views over the Ascrib Islands. Peaceful and quiet but friendly neighbours. Nothing too much trouble. Loads to do and see in the area. Beautiful mountains, wildlife, boat trips and loads more! We can’t see how anyone could fail to enjoy themselves here. We will definitely return!!
June 2018 – Nothing we could fault
Kate and Nathan stayed with us last week – all the way from Bristol and they had a lovely time in Skye. Thanks for much for your 5* Review: “What an amazing place! The cottage has been beautifully decorated and has everything you would need during your stay (plus lots of thoughtful touches like binoculars to look out for wildlife). The living room, in particular, has stunning views out over the water and is perfect for relaxing in after a day exploring Skye. Donnie was really helpful before we arrived with information and recommendations. Would definitely recommend a stay here – as soon as we walked through the door into the cottage we just felt relaxed and at home. There’s nothing we could fault with it and it’s definitely one of the best places we’ve stayed in.
June 2018 – The best hoiday cottage we have stayed in.
Creagach Cottage is the best cottage we have stayed in. The place is thoughtfully decorated and stocked with great amenities for your stay. The stay was comfortable, and the view was just amazing. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind while exploring the rest of Skye. The location of the cottage was just perfect: quiet, scenic and private. We did not have a problem driving all over the island to explore as we had plenty of time. Communication with Donnie was also good. Great hospitality. I definitely recommend Creagach Cottage for your time on Skye. You won’t be disappointed!
Trip Advisor – May 2018 – An absolute gem!
This is a place you won’t want to leave at the end of your holiday…a real home from home to unwind in, relax and enjoy some of the most amazing Scottish scenery.
We spent a week at the cottage in May this year and were lucky enough to get some great weather to enjoy this most stunning of locations. The cottage, which has truly awesome sea and cliff views, is beautifully decorated and furnished. It’s also got a lovely private garden to sit out in and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down.
The owners have gone out of there way think of everything we’d need. Their detailed ‘manual’ is stacked with useful information…everything from how to light the log-burning fire, where to eat out, local shops, sight-seeing/walking information and even where to find freshly-laid free-range eggs for breakfast!
The bedrooms are luxurious with really comfy beds, we slept like logs! And the spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area had everything we needed.
Skye is a wonderful place and Geary was a marvellous base to explore it from. We’ll definitely visit again!
Trip Advisor – April 2018 – Perfect Skye Cottage
Tucked away in the hamlet of Geary, this cottage is truly exceptional. We arrived to a lovely welcome basket of goodies and sat down to marvel at the stunning views over the loch to Uig. The cottage lived up to its billing and was immaculate in every department. The owners had clearly given a huge amount of thought to what it takes to make for an enjoyable stay and this made a big difference.
We enjoyed several days walking before the weather turned a bit mixed but time spent in the cottage sitting by the wood burning stove enjoying a dram or two was as enjoyable as walking in the hills. Top marks all round.
Trip Advisor – April 2018 – Relaxing Retreat
When we arrived at Creagach Cottage, we were immediately captivated by the beautiful views, taking a few moments on arrival to look out at the superb scenery.
There is ample parking and we were able to drive around to the main door to unload the car. In no time at all we were unpacked and settled into our home for the next week.
Not only do the views from the Creagach Cottage have the ‘wow factor’, the inside does as well.
We loved the large open plan kitchen/dining area which was extremely well equipped as we discovered during our stay.
The dining area has fabulous views across the water and the hills towards Uig. To our delight, the owners had left us a welcome pack with a Scottish theme including local beers and yummy tablet – which was a nice touch.
The living room was a perfect place to relax, with a log burning fire and again beautiful views over the sea and beyond.
Both bedrooms are a good size, with super-comfy beds and plenty of storage.
The bathroom was really nice; clean with luxury toiletries supplied.
We had lovely sunny weather during our stay and after exploring the sights of Skye, enjoyed sitting outside in the early evening with a well-earned glass of wine in this very peaceful location.
All in all, we had a fantastic and relaxing week in Creagach Cottage and will be back!
